Come Honor Good Samaritans
Beverly Towne and Daniel Sanchez will attend the next BikeABQ meeting on Tuesday March 24th 7pm Room 106 Smith-Brasher Hall CNM.
Please come and applaud them as BikeABQ recognizes their efforts to assist a downed cyclist.
After a car struck Ronald Hargrove the two of them rendered aid at great risk to themselves, a second car struck Mr. Hargrove and Ms. Towne - killing him and injuring her. She is not even allowed to be on crutches yet.
BikeABQ will commend them, give them a certificate, flowers, and give her a small check toward her medical bills.
It would be really nice to have a large turnout to show them the cycling community's appreciation and support. The media has been invited.
Please respect Beverly and Daniel's privacy and not ask questions about the night they saw a man die. I'm been told it's still an emotional issue for them.
The meeting will be held in a larger room than usual due to the expected large turnout.
