Hi all,

Sorry if youâve already received this, but weâre trying to get the word out about helping Trips for Kids get up and running (see below).  If you or anyone you know want to find out more about what they do, how you can help, to share connections you have to kids interested in participating in mountain biking trips, or if you have any interest in getting involved as a volunteer or board member, please attend the informational meeting on Monday, April 6 at 6:30pm at REI.  Please forward to others who might be interested.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Folks,

Please distribute as you see fitâ.

Are you a Leader looking for a cause?  Trips for Kids needs you!!!

Some kids donât have the opportunities we sometimes take for granted.  Do you like working with children?  Want to help them discover the joys of Mountain Biking?  Trips for Kids is a nationally recognized charitable organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged youth.  Through organized Mountain Bike Trips these kids will experience the joys of a recreational activity that will bring them closer to nature and help them establish their place within it.

The Rio Grande Chapter of Trips for Kids has established itself as a 501c3 Charitable Organization and is ready to begin focusing on kids.  We are re-organizing the Board of Directors and are seeking Leadership that will help take the organization to the next level.  Specifically, we are looking for a dynamic individual who is comfortable working on fund raising and establishing governmental and corporate grants.  This individual will lead the organization in establishing its presence in the Albuquerque area supporting its youth.  Effective communication and a diplomatic management style is critical.

There are many community organizations associated with Albuquerque Public Schools and youth in general that are prepared to promote and support this Organization.  With the proper leadership, Trips for Kids Rio Grande is poised to become a force for positive development of the youth in the community.  If you have what you think it takes, please come and join us.
